The proposed project involves road remodeling/rehabilitation and development of a bus terminal and associated facilities. As part of the project development, there will be construction of one (1) external bus stops/ lay-by, expansion of road alignment, refurbishment/upgrade of existing road and transport infrastructures such as drainages, pedestrian walkway, roundabout, and LAMATA bus boarding and alighting platforms, shelters, signage, road marking, lighting junction improvement, and elevated pedestrian crossings to link the proposed bus terminal. The proposed bus terminal will be done to meet LAMATA’s standard for commuting. The project shall be integrated to other existing land-based transport systems established by LAMATA under the Lagos Urban Transport Project (LUTP) in the area. The existing transport systems include the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and Pilot Bus Franchise Scheme.


The Lagos State Government under the able leadership of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has continued to aggressively develop public infrastructure and improve security across the State through the Public Private Participation. In a bid to take the effort further, the State Government decided to develop a world-class transport interchange at Oshodi.
The proposed Oshodi Transport Interchange project comprises of three multi-storey bus parks and terminals. Each of the terminals contains four floors of 30,000sq. meter with other ancillary facilities such as intercity and intra-city bus parking, pedestrian walkway that links to the major bus stop, private car parks to mention few.

In recognition of the need for an integrated and long-term solution to flooding in the City of Ibadan, the Oyo State Government set up “The Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project” (IUFMP) to improve the capacity of the State to effectively manage flood risks in the city. This project is funded by the World Bank (WB) and is being executed with WB’s assistance through the Project Implementation Unit (PIU).
The second pool, for which this Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Study and Resettlement Action Plan is being prepared for Channelization of Ona River, downstream of Eleyele Dam, and replacement/ expansion of hydraulic structures along the channel; and Construction of 17 attenuation dikes in the upper and middle catchments of Ona River. The main objective of Oyoy state government is to prevent flood in the City.
